What is BlairLate.com – “Confessions from a Retired Pop Star”- ?

BlairLate.com is pop culture’s healthy alternative. It is a place where you can not only catch up on your day to day entertainment news and gossip, but it is also a place for fashion advice, political banter, and commentary on all things pop culture, from my point of view! What’s my point of view you ask?

I’m a true Texan, raised in Odessa, a small town obsessed with their high school football (think Friday Night Lights…literally).  I love my small town roots, but things got interesting when I entered my freshman year at UCLA. As a closeted, flag-waving Republican, I found myself defending George W. Bush daily. Well, I slowly morphed from Republican to Democrat, switched the Tommy Hilfiger for Dolce and Gabbana, and ditched the closet and came out.  But despite these big changes, I remain a true Southerner at heart.

Most people come to La La Land for fame and fortune and that’s exactly what happened to me! I was hired as the third member of a BMG boy band, B3. We toured the world, had millions of fans, won 2 Gold Records and had 4 Top Ten hits. I was living my dream. I was famous, performing, entertaining, but there was one big problem… I had to go back into the closet. I willingly obliged at the time, but knew I didn’t want to keep up the act forever. After three years as an international pop star, I found myself living in New York. I was done with the boy band lifestyle and I wanted to do something different.

During my red carpet days, I had become known for my fashion and keen sense of style. This marked the beginning of my career into the fashion and hosting world! I have done segments for “How Do I Look?”, The TV Guide Network, Extra and became one the hosts of Gale Berman’s “Glam Me Up” on the CW. I’ve also been chosen by a growing number of celebrities to privately consult on fashion and styling choices for their media and public appearances. After consulting for fashion power houses Intermix and Seven Jeans, I even got to shoot my own talk show “Late in the Morning” with Blair Late.

I wanted a way to culminate all my different interests and experiences. So, I decided to start my very own blog, a blog with a new fresh bold perspective that would enlighten and entertain!

I have a very personal point of view, as I once stood on stage and was judged by others. I have lived through personal drama that unfolded directly in front of the cameras. I have been told my sexuality was affecting my chances at becoming a heartthrob. I am here to share my opinions, not because they’re better than everyone else’s, but because I feel that my point of view is fresh, individual, and different… just like all of you.

I hope to entice, to entertain, but most importantly, to give you plenty of scoop!

Dramatically Yours,
Blair Madison Late
