Monday night proved that even after 8 seasons and a torturous spring of Jerry Springer like Drama with Charlie Sheen that made even celebrity rehab look like a Martha Stewart Special, TWO AND A HALF MEN IS ACTUALLY STILL HOT! So HOT that the Murdochs finally have something else to sweat about besides phone hacking……..another show other then AMERICAN IDOL can actually gain over 27 million viewers!!!! And let me tell you, last nights episode of the new Ashton Kutcher show was VERY WELL EXECUTED and deserved all 28 million viewers it got! Now I dont know what was harsher, the raunchy jokes coming from all sides of Charlie Harper’s funeral led by Jon Cryer OR William Shatner’s jokes pointed at Charlie Sheen on his Comedy Central Roast last night. But EVEN Comedy Centrals risk was rewarded as they too broke ratings and records with their #1 ROAST Special EVER with 6.4 million viewers……if you have NOT seen this roast, I highly recommend you find it on repeat and tivo it ASAP, very harsh, but VERY well worth the LAUGHS!
Also on CBS, was the debut of 2 BROKE GIRLS, which due to its overly buzzed Ashton Lead In, still received a VERY RESPECTABLE 19
million viewers! Although, unlike, 2 Men, 2 broke girls does need some work. The story is there,. It just needs more time to allow the character’s to develop….But I will stick around for a few more episodes for SURE.
At least it didn’t have me clamoring for the fast forward button while viewing Chaz Bono’s chacha on Dancing With The Stars! Speaking of, ABC also had, as expected, a BIG night of ratings. Dancing with the hasbeens averaged 18 million viewers and CASTLE (otherwise known as the ONLY successful procedural NOT ON CBS) averaged 13 million viewers.

But Here’s the kicker, NBC (the number 1 destination for morning news, evening news, and bad late night jokes) had a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, kickoff to the fall prime time season. The Sing Off, which although is music to my ears, was only watched by 5.2 million people clearly everyone else last night was distracted by Nancy Graces thighs and/or Ashton Kutcher’s ABS. Then to top it off was THE PLAYBOY CLUB. With lines from the script like “r u ok? I have a tampax”. I knew we were in trouble. This show was just PLAIN AWFUL and is trying WAY TOO HARD! Bad script, Bad acting, and a TOTAL embarrassment to NBC who once used to to set the bar for groundbreaking TV. But NO ONE is in as much trouble as new network chief Robert Greenblatt will be. “The Playboy Club” received 5 million viewers. Which is even LESS then last years premiere of CHASE which was eventually cancelled.

This is of course AFTER I attend the funerals of “RINGER” and “PLAYBOY CLUB”. Im BLAIR LATE, and remember, its never too late, to put the POP back in your culture!~
I'm Not Ok, I Can't
In the up coming weeks I will be reviewing the “most talked about”, series debuts. Being that I am a pop culture connoisseur of the highest level and am not “paid” by any network to sway my opinion, I will be going for the jugular and will be as honest as honest gets! Not to mention, I also have a second opinion that will be taken into consideration, my fiance Jeff. Jeff is more of an “everyman” who tries to limit his TV viewing to that of “House Hunters”, “Operation Repo”,” The Walking Dead”, and “The Good Wife”. I on the other hand, not only love those programs but can enjoy almost anything as artsy as”Downton Abbey” and as fluffy as “Gossip Girl”.
The fall Season has officially kicked off with the launch of the CW’s new fall season.
“Ringer” which the CW has been advertising as their “older, edgier, and sexier” new drama/thriller debuted last night. The CW with their new network President in tow, Mark Pedowitz, got ONE THING RIGHT ONLY, 3 words, SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR. She has been off the airwaves for quite some time starting a family and buffy buffs alike have been waiting YEARS, for her sappy acting to entice us once again. The proof is all in the ratings. Last nights debut received the CW’s biggest numbers on a Tuesday night in 3 years! But the congratulatory flowers stop there……..
There is no DOUBT why CBS, who originally funded this pilot, through it in the dumpster. CBS’s Les Moonves has made CBS the #1 destination for crime and comedy for a reason and unless his wife Julie Chen, had been a co star (I will “TALK” about that another time..) this pilot would NEVER have seen the light of day. And I agree with Les.
This pilot makes last years CW failure, “Hellcats” , look like an Emmy deserving hit in the vain of Mad Men, and believe me, that show was almost unbearable. The difference is, I actually got through the first EP of “Hellcats” and even came back for the 2nd (thats where my love affair with college cheerleaders ended), but “Ringer” was seriously one of the worst TV shows I have ever had the non pleasure of viewing.
First off, the main character, played in her sleep by Sarah has the name of “Siobhan” pronounced “CHAVAN”. Although not a terrible name, but one would expect that name in a Tyler Perry movie, not a Sarah Michelle Gellar driven thriller, but I digress….
It was so difficult to get through the first commercial break I could hardly bare it. The whole “twin sister takes over for the other” storyline needs to stay on the soaps, where coincidently, Sarah got her start.
Bottom line. The show was terribly shot, directed, written, scored, and acted. I really could care less to discuss it and waste your valuable time any further. But please do me a favor….dont check for the repeats to air this week, don’t tivo it for next week. Just MOVE ON and hope that Sarah quietly leaves this show in the grave and returns to a more respectable crime drama on say, CBS.
If Jennifer Love Hewitt can torture us for 6 years with “The Ghost Whisper” then there is hope for Sarah~!

Is a self described “SOUTHERN BELLE” with all the hats, purses, AND a LAW degree to prove it. AND I must admit I was quite excited about this new cast mate, as SHE by SHEREE is soooooo on the outs.
BUT last time I checked a SOUTHERN BELLE does NOT marry an ex con, NOR do they make incredibly ridiculous racist remarks like the one she says below linking “her lifestyle” and “upbringing” to HIGH END FOOD and white people to CANNED FOOD….
“Apollo (HER EX CON HUSBAND) does not like very elaborate dishes and I am a connoisseur of finer foods. Growing up in a white household, he’s not used to all this fancy stuff. He likes canned foods. Last I checked a TRUE SOUTHERN BELLE, like myself, is happy to eat a rang of foods from good ole TEXAS BBQUE, to LOUISIANA FRIED CHICKEN, to Russian Caviar, to escargot, to freaking KFC if your hungover and need a grease fix!
